Physical year ending June 30, 2008, the Lions Eye Bank of ND has recovered 354 corneas from 177 donors. 297 corneas or 84% of all recovered eye tissue was successfully transplanted. Since the Lions Eye Bank of ND began commercial operation in January 1996, it has recovered and placed 3020 corneas for transplant. In other words, 3020 people have received the “gift of sight” as a direct result of the
Lions Eyebank of North Dakota.
