Change of meeting day for Kindred
The Kindred Lions has just recently changed our meeting date from the first Thursday of the month to the second...so our next meeting is on the 13th of December. Just this past Thursday evening we put in motion this new calendar date with great attendance and officially signed up five new members.  With a majority of our members being farmers we obviously struggle with attendance during favorable farming weather...and now with almost every evening being taken up with school functions, we are competing with members for their time.
CONGRATULATION KINDRED LIONS ON 5 NEW MEMBERS!

Kindred Lions have asked other organizations within the community to partner with them in order to bring a different group of people to the auction. Examples include Park Board, Library Board and Youth Baseball with great results.

Kindred Lions in Action

KINDRED ANNUAL AUCTION
Kindred Lions primary fundraiser for
nearly 50 years...

Our auction theme this past spring carried the message of being in a casino, therefore our community partner (the park board) provided these visors for Lions members working the auction.  From left to right...Dean Merhiy, Mike Gustafson, Dave Braaten and Dean Anvik.

Quilts always capture the attention of our bidders at the Annual Lions Auction.  Some of the spouses of Lions members who participate in various kinds of quilting activities provide this combination of artwork and handiwork for community
projects such as the Kindred Park System.

This photo captures the spirit of fun, as two Hertsgaard Sister in Law's bid against each other for the same item.  From left to right...Greg Holder watches with a smile as Lynn Larson,
wife of Lion Red Geurts has her own expression
while Lion Dave Rostad laughs in the background.

The Kindred Jazz Band provided
entertainment for the bidders.

This is a special picture of Norman Luidahl, a retired Kindred Lion who as you can see followed the Lion Meeting circuit with
pins from many clubs from around the world.  A year ago
Norman gave our club his vest and pins...and we offered
them to our existing members for $10 each, as a means of raising money for our convention fund.
